An arrest was made at Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida after a 17-year-old student violently shoved a teacher’s aide, causing her to be thrown several feet in the air.
Following the altercation, the teacher’s assistant was left unconscious on the floor, where she was ruthlessly attacked by the student, who repeatedly pounded her head into the floor.
Reports from the police revealed that the student’s violent outburst was triggered by the teacher seizing his Nintendo Switch during class.
Additionally, he later spat on the victim and issued a threatening statement, insinuating harm upon his return, as per the police’s findings.
The 17-year-old student has been charged with felony aggravated battery with bodily harm, and he was subsequently taken to the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility before being handed over to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
Jason Wheeler, the Flagler County School District Spokesman, stated in an email on February 24th that the district refrains from providing updates on the medical condition of their employees out of respect for their privacy.
