In a senseless murder, a Fargo middle school teenage girl was stabbed to death for no apparent reason. Her parents now plan to donate some of her organs to save lives.
On June 4, 2021, at around 7 a.m., Jupiter Paulsen was skateboarding from her father's house to her mother's house when she was attacked. Court documents revealed what happened to the child.
Her father said the Cheney Middle School student was randomly attacked. Jupiter’s attacker was said to be Arthur Prince Kollie, 23, who has since been arrested and charged with murder.

The charge brought up against Kollie was confirmed on Tuesday by a Cass County prosecutor. The suspect spent 20 minutes attacking the teenager, and part of the assault was caught on security video from a store.
The brutal attack occurred at 4340 13th Ave. S., near Party City in Fargo. Kollie was initially charged with robbery, attempted murder, and aggravated assault in connection with the attack.

On Monday, the suspect appeared in Cass County District Court, where a judge set his bail for $1 million cash. The following afternoon, the Cass County State's Attorney's Office said they would be making a new filing.
They want to have the court amend the attempted murder count and charge Kollie with murder instead. Sadly, on the same morning, Jupiter’s father, Robert Paulsen, said his daughter had been declared brain dead.
Tests were also completed to determine the little girl’s official time of death. On Wednesday, Robert held a Walk of Honor for his daughter, and two services were planned for her final goodbye.
One of the services would be private, and the other one would be community-driven. Robert said his late daughter’s organs would be preserved "to try and save some lives."
While driving near Party City, a garbage worker saw a man wearing a white T-shirt and black pants leaning or standing over Jupiter. The suspect ran from the area but was later arrested by the police.
When Kollie murdered Jupiter, he was on probation for a 2017 conviction for simple assault on a peace officer. He denied killing the teenager and said he didn’t recall the incident while on meth.
In a different case, on May 9, 2021, Tristyn Bailey, 13, was found dead in a wooded area in St. Johns, Jacksonville. A 14-year-old Florida boy was charged with murder and was jailed without bond.
In Philadelphia, Alex Anaya, 29, weakened blood vessels ruptured in his brain, and he couldn’t be saved. His heart was preserved for donation with warm-temperature “perfusion” to one day save some else’s life.
