“The View’s” Meghan McCain recently took to social media to share a fun throwback photo featuring herself and her husband. The image was taken on their wedding day.

Meghan McCain, 36, married her husband Ben Domenech in November 2017 at a family lodge in Arizona. The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony just before sunset at the lodge in Sedona.

The co-host of “The View” wore her gown with a white fur stole. Her parents Cindy McCain and Sen. John McCain, who has since passed on, both attended the wedding alongside around 100 guests.

Meghan’s representative revealed, at the time, that her father gave her away and she and Domenech were married by John Dickerson. After exchanging vows, the couple had dinner and danced happily together.

“The Federalist” publisher and Meghan’s wedding was planned by Jim Bullock from Events by Showstoppers. He revealed that the theme for the couple’s nuptials was a Western hunting lodge.

Their wedding included props like a gambling casino, poker tables, a cigar bar, roulette tables, and slot machines. The venue was decorated with unconventional décor that included buffalo and deer heads.

The bride’s bouquet also stood out as it included flowery and wild flora. The couple served their guests wild game and an arbor made of birch limbs and bleached elk horns sat at the end of the aisle.

The television personality actually chose to not have a traditional wedding. Going all the way with their chosen theme, Meghan walked down the aisle beautifully adorned in cowhides.

The couple was engaged earlier in the year in July 2017at the Mayo Clinic. The proposal came shortly after it was discovered that John was battling a glioblastoma, an aggressive stage 4 brain cancer, diagnosis.

This month, Meghan looked back at her wedding day by sharing a black-and-white photo on Instagram. In the image, she and her husband were seen smoking cigars while chatting to some people.

Meghan McCain was referring to giving birth to their baby daughter on September 28, 2020.

“The View” co-host shared how she’d changed since that time and wasn’t drinking her whiskey neat. She also shared that she didn’t spend the night playing blackjack or smoking cigars anymore.

Meghan also noted how things were different now as she had clothes covered in spit-up and her breasts leaked constantly. The star was referring to giving birth to their baby daughter on September 28, 2020.

The little girl is the couple’s very first child together and she’s named Liberty Sage McCain Domenech. The co-host concluded her post noting how she wouldn’t change anything and stated:

“[This is] just a reminder I was once young and cool (ish).”
